Hi, Ian Shilton here.
I live in beautiful Myrtleford in North East Victoria, Australia. All my adult life, I have sought and believed there was something “big” out there for me. I always made the most of every opportunity that came my way (I have tried a number of different careers), but all the same, a persistent voice in my mind kept me searching for more.
I have been a very successful businessman in my brick and mortar ventures, but like so many people do today, I took my search for a profitable business online, and that is where I stumbled across “The Coffee House Letter” and Carbon Copy Pro.

After much procrastination (this way of doing business marks a huge change of pace for me) and due diligence, I joined a team of Internet entrepreneurs who are showing me how to not only make money, but also create the lifestyle of my dreams.
But allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. Who knows, perhaps you will relate to my experiences.
I was born in Donald, Australia in 1961. I have two sisters, one older and one younger. I grew up and attended school in country Victoria. My parents have always been in business, which is where I think I get my own desire to be in business.
From an early age I always knew that I would be self-employed, just like my parents. I didn’t know what business or when it would happen, I just knew that it would (it’s a funny thing, but when you have that level of belief, you can basically make anything you focus on happen). It did happen and the business ventures I undertook were rewarding and successful.
However, the more time I spent putting in the long hours, taking on the financial risk and dealing with all the operational challenges that come with owning a brick and mortar business, the more I thought to myself, “there must be an easier way”.
Deep down, I knew I was trading time for money.
My working career started with thirteen years in the banking industry. These were fun times and I learnt a lot about the world of finance.
But I always knew I was really meant to be in business for myself.

I like golf. I wish golf liked me.
So I took the plunge and established a mixed business, which I kept at for two years. I then did a year of food wholesaling. Both were excellent introductions into the world of business ownership, and enabled me to “cut my teeth” so to speak, before purchasing the local news agency in Myrtleford, in partnership with my parents, and diving right in.
We owned and operated the newsagency for 12 years. Overall, I do look back fondly on all these experiences because at the end of the day, they enabled me to make a substantial income. The trade off was the long hours required to achieve that. Up to one hundred hours a week is just ridiculous!
Rising in the dark every day to roll and deliver newspapers, dealing with long opening hours, customers, chasing debtors, staff rosters, and being virtually ‘tied down’ to our business premises were just some of the things I managed on a daily basis.

We entered the news agency business in 1995 when our children were only 7 and 5 years old. My biggest regret was missing quite a few Xmas mornings, when they would get up early to see what Santa had left.
Although we were a “mum and dad” business, we were also very much caught up in the corporate world because our contracts with the major publishers gave us no option but to open on Xmas day and deliver newspapers.
I could never bring myself to ask my staff to work on Xmas day, so it was my own family that made the sacrifice.
I did have the opportunity to attend nearly all my children’s school plays, speech nights, sporting events … which was fantastic. But we all missed out on a lot of the “simple stuff”.
I have no regrets about my business life. I loved being my own boss, and being able to educate my children at private schools, send them to school camps, have the occasional holiday, live in a wonderful home and provide all the material things they needed.
Unfortunately, it is not until they are on the brink of adulthood that you realize they could have had maybe a little more of Mum and Dad.

You know, looking back, I think I have always kept my eyes and ears open for an “easier way”.
Years and years of doing business that way will always extract a price. Not always a financial one either.
I think the catalysts for me were the need for time AND money plus the fact that I had more than enough of wages, rosters, sick leave, stock, leases, customers, sales reps, long hours. The first 3 months we worked from 4.30am–9pm 7 days a week. Then 4.30am–6pm. Then we settled in to 9am-6pm. Oh yeah, plus Saturday & Sunday mornings (phew!) … the list goes on and on.
My kids are at Uni now. Matt is in fourth year at Melbourne Uni doing Property and Construction and Alex in second year at La Trobe Uni doing OT and Psychology.
They are still a huge part of my life and my need and desire to support them and be there for them is as strong as ever.
I don’t know if that ever changes.
Sometimes, changes are forced upon us in ways that are very painful and unpleasant to deal with. This was certainly the case for me. My marriage of twenty-two years ended, and I was plunged into a period of deep reflection about what I did right, what I did wrong, what I had achieved, what I could still achieve.
For a while, I lived my life one day at a time with no plans, dreams or goals. My life was virtually on hold.
The only thing I knew for certain was that if I kept my eyes open for opportunity, everything would change for me.
When I met my partner Noelene, everything did change for me. I suddenly had a new purpose, and I knew that the life I would create for us, would give us time, opportunity and money.
In fact, we have already traveled together in my new business, and we have loved having a ‘taste’ of what this type of business has to offer.

We loved visiting the Grand Canyon last time we went OS for a conference
Building an online business for me has been a slow process. Through choice and circumstance this is the way it is for me. I reflect on my business life and see I have always adopted the “gently, gently” approach.
It is important to me to do things well. The learning curve has been steeper than any other I have experienced. I think this is because it is condensed into such a short time frame and it is all so new.
Having said that, it has already been very rewarding and I know that it will continue to be so. I also recognize that the Internet is growing like no other commercial environment in history, and I can see that to be in business, is to have a presence online.
I am inspired and impressed by the quality of the people involved at CCPro and Wealth Masters. The message is unwavering. Persist and you will succeed. The message is strengthened and supported with unbelievable encouragement and training.

And, better still, beyond the business itself the product has given me access to exclusive investment opportunities. I mean, I personally met the multi-billionaire CEO of one of the companies we deal with at a conference in Las Vegas in November 2009. How many everyday people get to make contacts like that?
It is very exciting to learn how many ways there are to make an enormous amount of money, regardless of the global economy.
But don’t just take my word for it. Do your own due diligence, ask all of the questions you need to be satisfied that this “ticks all the right boxes” for you.
I don’t believe in “hard sales”, it is vital that every person proceeds (or not) on the basis that the business is the right “fit” for them, and the only way to determine this is to complete your due diligence.

I look forward to speaking with you on the other side.

You see, the promises of old-school MLM and “life-long” residual income are all but dead for today's network marketers. They have been cut down at the knees by an unlikely culprit who I’ll reveal to you in a minute. This Letter Spills The Beans. In Fact, When My Friend Showed It To Me ...
